I am currently studying Politics and Law at Murdoch University in Perth. I am not entirely sure how this will help me become a writer, but it will hopefully put some food on the table and allow me to spend more time on writing.
I have always been very interested in the pre-industrial eras, specifically Medieval (or the technological equivalent in a fictional story). I also find the weapons of these eras fascinating - swords and swordplay more of all.
Everyone has books they've read which inspired them to be dream bigger, and authors who have unknowingly pushed them towards their own pursuits. For me those books are (in no particular order) Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas, The Darkwater Saga by Patrick Carr, The Seraphim Trilogy by David Daglish, and The Ember Blade by Chris Wooding.
